Day 1
Arrive in Kashgar
Activities:Warmly welcome you at Kashgar airport and transfer to your hotel

Our professional tour guide and driver will welcome you at Kashgar airport and transfer to your Hotel. Have a good rest after a long flight.
Kashgar, an oasis city in Xinjiang, is the westernmost city in China, located near the borders of Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan and Tajikistan. It has a history of over 2,000 years and served as a trading post and strategically important city on the Silk Road between China,Middle East and Europe.
Day 2
Kashgar to Tashkorgan
Meals: B, L, D
Activities:Drive along the KKH, Stop at Opal Village, Oytagh Kunlun Colorful mountain range, Gaz Valley and check point, Bulungkol Valley (white sand mountain), Karakul lake and local Kyrgyz family visit

We set out along the Sino – Pakistan Karakorum Highway, on the Pamir plateau (the roof of the world) visit Karakul Lake (3600m above sea level). The lake sits at the foot of the notorious Muztagh Ata (7546m) and Gongur (7719m) mountains. ‘Muztagh Ata’ means Father of the Ice Mountains and is one of the most beautiful and mysterious mountain in the world.
Lunch will be at a local Kyrgyz family or at the lake side restaurant.
Arrive Tashkorgan in late afternoon and stay overnight
Day 3
Tashkorgan to Kashgar
Meals: B, L, D
Activities:Visit Stone Fort, Tajik village, Hike on the Grassland and drive back to Kashgar after lunch
Tashkurgan Tajik autonomous county was once an important hub on the old Silk Road. The area borders with Pakistan and Afghanistan via the Kunjerab Pass and Wahan Corridor.

After breakfast, you’ll visit the town’s ancient Stone Fort – still standing after 2200 years! ‘Tashkurgan’ means ‘Fort made out of stones’ Later Hike on the grassland next to the Stone Fort.
After lunch drive back to Kashgar and you can have stops along the way if you like.
Day 4
Explore Kashgar city

Activities:Visit Grand mosque, Apak Hoja tomb (which is also called Fragrant Concubine Tomb), Old city walking tours, livestock market, Sunday market and dinner at a local Uighur family

Explore the rich, endless culture of the Uighurs in Kashgar. First enjoy the famous livestock market which happens on every Sunday and people bring their horses, sheep, goats, camels,cows, bulls and other livestocks to the market from all the directions for sale. It provides a great opportunity to take photos of the faces of local people, enjoy the traditional local market culture, test-drive a donkey or a horse or even make its shoes. Like opening a window, today is a real glimpse into a time lost in the annals of the Silk Road’s past and an opportunity not to be missed.
Later moving to Sunday market main Bazaar which is considered one of the largest market in Central Asia. From fluffy sheepskin hats to rugged camel-hide boots, not to mention beads, buttons and buckets of locals. Everything – including plenty of kitchen sinks – is for sale at this fairytale bazaar. It is the best chance to practice your bargaining skills.
After lunch, visit the Grand Id Kah mosque, the largest mosque in China and marvel at the intricate architecture of Kashgar’s historic Apak Hoja Tomb which is also known as Fragrant concubine tomb).
We’ll enjoy the Old Town of Kashgar by walk.walking is the best way to see and understand the ancient historical parts,streets,handicraft workshops and many more;enjoy a century-old Kashgar tea house’s atmoshpere for a short break. sitting by the locals and try various medicinal teas such as those containing rose, saffron, honey and many other ingredients.
Finally, we wrap up one day tour with a dinner at a local family which offers a great opportunity to deeply understand real local life, culture and traditions of Uighurs (only if it is available).
Day 5
Kashgar to Hotan

Activities:Drive along the Southern Silk Road, stop at Yarkant for sightseeing

We set out from Kashgar to Hotan after breakfast,first stop at Yarkand for a few hours to enjoy local culture and do some sightseeing. like visiting the Golden Mosque (built in 1533) and its royal graveyard which includes several hundred-year-old tombs. Yarkand was once the capital of many Uighur Kingdoms in ancient times and an important station on the old Silk Road. It has more than 2000 years of history.
Then continue driving to Hotan and arrive by dinner time

Day 6
Hotan to desert for camel safari
Meals: B, L, D
Activities:Visit Grand Bazaar; after lunch drive to Desert for overnight camping

Sight-seeing in Hotan to see Hotan Grand Bazaar which is less touristic and more traditional; Then visit local Carpet, Silk and Jade factories, These three handicraft goods are famous from Hotan.
After lunch drive to Desert for Camel Safari and camping. Upon arrival at the desert, we load everything on the camel and begin to trek.
As the sun sets down, select a nice place for camping and set up tents. Our guide will make desert kebabs for you as shooting stars light the sky and the desert welcomes you to rest.
Day 7
Desert to Kucha

Activities:Ride the camels out of the desert and keep driving till Kucha through desert Highway

After breakfast, load everything on the same camels and come out of the desert where our driver awaits you and then keep driving along the desert highway.
The word ‘Taklimakan’ means “Sea of Death”: ‘once you come in you can never go back.’ This is absolutely certain to be an unforgettable part of your trip and we arrive at Kucha in the evening and check into our hotel.
A shower is always nice to get rid of sands and grits, but the experience and memories will remain with you forever.
Day 8
Kucha for whole day

Activities:Visit Kizil Thousand Budha caves and Tianshan mysterious Grand Canyon

In the morning visit the Kizil Thousand Buddha caves which sits high on the cliff over the Northern bank of the Muzat River, 75km (46miles) from Kucha city. The caves were hewn between the 3rd and 8th century and formed one of the earliest Buddhist art treasure troves in China. In fact the caves were in use one century before the famous Mogao Grottoes at Dunhuang.
we have lunch at a restuarant next to the caves and head to Tianshan mysterious Grand Canyon which is about a little more than an hour drive from the caves. Tianshan Great Canyon is located about 70km from Kucha city. The canyon is attractive not only for its colors but also the formation of the mountains. Today, Tianshan Grand Canyon is regarded as one of the ten most beautiful in China.
Drive back to Kucha after a long and exciting day trip and have dinner before going back to hotel.
Day 9
Kucha to Korla
Meals: B, L, D
Activities:visit Kucha’s Grand mosque and old city, Subash Ancient Buddha ruins and Kizil Kagha Beacon tower. Then drive to Korla after lunch

After breakfast, we’ll spend time at old city area and visit Kucha’s Grand mosque. The mosque was built in the 17th Century and roof of the mosque was constructed with 300,000 eggs, cement and bricks.
Then head to visit the ancient city of Subash (2nd-3rd century A.D.) and the Ancient Kizil Kagha Beacon tower which was an ancient military outpost. Then drive to Korla after lunch and arrive in the evening.
Day 10
Korla to Turpan
Meals: B, L, D
Activities:leave for Turpan after breakfast then arrive at about noon; After lunch visit Yargul (Jiaohe) Ancient city, Karez underground Irrigation system and Emin Minaret

Leave Korla after breakfast and arrive Turpan around Lunch time. In Turpan we’ll begin our local tour at the Yargul Ancient city which is one of the best preserved ancient cities in China. The ruins of the buildings are divided into temples, civilian dwellings and government offices. Workshops and residential houses are still visible and time there is a time spent in a long lost world.
After lunch visiting around the ancient city area for an hour , then head on to see the world famous Karez irrigation system, unique to this part of the world. The system is considered as one of the three great projects in China with the other two being the Great Wall and the Grand Canal.
Then visit the Emin Suliman minaret which is a magnificent combination of ancient Uighur and Islamic architecture. It is the tallest ancient tower in Xinjiang and the only Islamic ancient minaret in the country. Locals call it “pure tower”.
Day 11
Turpan to Dunhuang

Activities:visit Idikut (Gaochang) ancient city, Toyuq village,Flaming Mountain and take overnight train to Dunhuang

After breakfast, visit the ancient city of Idikut (Gaochang). The city was first built in the first Century BC and later became capital of the Idikut (Gaochang) Uighur Kingdom in the 8th Century.
We’ll enjoy visiting the ancient city for about 40 minutes and then drive to Toyuq village, an old, beautiful and timeless village with a friendly Uighur community. Here we visit several local families and have tea with a local family at their home. This could be the highlight of your tour of the day.
On the way back to hotel we will also stop at the Flaming Mountains which people claimed to be the hottest and driest on the silk road that “flying birds even a thousand miles away dare not to come”
Finally take overnight trian to Dunhuang.
Train Info
This Tour includes one way train Journey from Turpan to Dunhuang which is about 9-10 hours. We book first class soft sleeper tickets, there are 4 beds in one compartment, this tour includes one ticket per person. so if you are less than 4 people and want to get all 4 beds, you have to pay for the rest of beds then you can stay privately without any other strangers. please let us know when you make booking.
Day 12
Dunhuang for whole day

Activities:Arrive in Dunhuang train station in the morning and visit Mogao Grottoes, Museum, Crescent Lake and Mingsha Echo-sand Mountain

Our Dunhuang local guide will be holding your name in front of the Dunhuang train station and first have breakfast and then go for sight-seeing.
We spend the whole morning at Mogao Grottoes which were constructed over a millennium ago, from the 4th to 14th centuries. The caves are also known as the Thousand Buddha Caves has two distinctions of being one of the most notable grottoes in China as well as the best-preserved treasure house of Buddhist arts, sutras, murals and sculptures in the world.
After lunch, visit Dunhuang Museum which exhibits relics excavated from the local area, such as paper, coins, a model of the Great Wall as it appeared during the Han Dynasty.
Then drive to Mysterious Crescent lake which it’s name derives from the crescent moon shaped the small pool of spring water between two large sand dunes. Here you can ride camels on the sand dunes of Sounding Sand mountain which makes sounds when the wind blows.
We highly recommend you to enjoy the Sunset over the high sand dunes before back to hotel.
Day 13
Dunhuang to Xi’an

Activities: Take morning flight to Xi’an and visit Xi’an city wall and Provincial Museum

Our guide and driver from Dunhuang see you off at Dunhuang Airport and another Knowledgeable and friendly local guide will meet you with experienced driver at Xi’an airport and transfer to Xi’an city which is about 1.5 hours drive.
First have lunch and then drive to Xi’an city wall which is the symbol of Xi’an and the most ancient existing city wall in China until today. We spend a few hours here to walk around or ride bicycles as your wish.
Finally visit Shanxi provincial Museum which is one of the first largest state museum with modern facilities in China. The museum houses over 370,000 items, including murals, paintings, pottery, coins,bronze, gold,silver, and many more. The modern museum is built between 1983 and 2001 and its appearance recalls the architectural style of the Tang Dynasty.
Day 14
Explore Xi’an for whole day

Activities:Visit Terra-Cotta Warriors; Bell Tower; Wild Goose Pagoda and Hui Mosque

After breakfast, we start our memorable day tour by visiting Terra-Cotta Warriors which is one of the greatest archaeological discovery of the 20th century. This site is about an hour drive from Xi’an city.
Visit Bell tower after lunch which is located in downtown area and is a Chinese traditional building and geographical center of the ancient capital, best preserved and largest wooden tower in China.
After spending an hour here we continue our tour to wild goose Pagoda which is well preserved ancient holy building for Buddhism.
Finally visit the Hui grand mosque located in Hui minority area, construction of the mosque has rich Chinese features combined with Arabic style. It is one of the oldest and largest mosque in China.
Day 15
Xi’an to your Next destination
