Activities: Visit Giant Buddha Temple, Wooden Pagoda Temple and Mati Temple Grottoes
After breakfast our guide and driver will meet you at your hotel and visit Giant Buddha Temple then the Wooden Pagoda Temple in the morning. As a landmark of Zhangye, the Giant Buddha Temple is renowned for the largest indoor reclining Buddha in China. Even a single finger of the Buddha can allow one adult to lie down. It is said that this giant Buddha statue is made in the image of Sakyamuni. Our guide will also introduce other statues and delicate murals in the hall. Numerous scriptures and ancient books are also displayed. In this temple, we will not miss the earth tower and a typical folk residence with traditional carved beams and painted pillars. leave from the Giant Buddha Temple drive to the Wooden Pagoda Temple built with wood and bricks.
After lunch drive one hour to visit the Mati Temple Grottoes. It is said that a heavenly horse once left its hoof print on a rock there and you can still find that print in the temple. It is a unique temple house buildings of both Han Buddhism and Tibetan Buddhism. Follow the guide to admire the Buddha statues carved in the caves and appreciate the painted scriptures of heroes in Tibetan myths.
Finally drive back to your hotel

Zhangye to Lanzhou

Activities: In the morning visit Zhangye Danxia Geopark; After lunch take fast speed train to Lanzhou
After breakfast drive to Zhangye Danxia geopark (rain bow mountain ) where we will see different colors and the view is different at different times; the scenery here is really fantastic and incredible. It is the best representative of China’s colorful Danxia landform and the largest Danxia landscape in an arid area with a wide variety of landforms
After lunch take a fast speed train to Lanzhou which is about 3:30 hours train journey. Our local driver/guide will meet you at Lanzhou railway station and transfer to your hotel

Trip to Bingling Temple

Activities: Visit Bingling Grottoes for whole day
After breakfast our guide and driver will meet you at your hotel and drive to Binglinsi grottoes which is the largest surviving Buddhas from the tang dynasty (618-907). The statue is about 27 meters (90 feet) tall. It resembles a giant statue built in central Asia 250 years ago and shows cultural links to the region. The statues begun in different dynasties and show the different cultures, costumes and physical features that worship god.
Today it is regarded as one of the five famous Buddhist grottoes in China.
After about 1.5 hour drive, you will take a boat and enjoy the boat ride to Bingling Grottoes. it is about an hour boating and the scenery along the lake is quite stunning
When you are finished with the grottoes , drive back to Lanzhou and stay overnight
